Work Experience Student Placements

Talking Point offers work placements for students on combined Business and Spanish courses providing them with the possibility to use the knowledge and skills they have learnt as well as experience different sectors of industry.

The placements will involve working in both languages (English and Spanish) as well as putting into practice the business skills they have learnt on their courses.  Performing Business classes on site in various companies of diverse sectors will give them an insight in to the kind of jobs and work options they could have in the future.  They will also learn the ins and outs of various aspects of their students’ jobs and experience the daily routine of office/work life.

Administration and communication out of the classroom is all done in Spanish so Placement Students can practise their language skills.  Our computer system is based in Spanish permitting the students to expand their vocabulary and learn new IT skills.
 
All Placement Students will receive orientation and training in the job. This will be conducted by Management and Teacher Trainers (with observation of the other teachers) and is designed to provide them with an understanding of our policies, and methodology.  In addition we will discuss our expectations of them in their particular job and we will orientate them on any specifics they should know before they begin working.

Talking Point will assist Placement Students in finding accommodation and organising legal documents.
